Interactive installation by Ennio Bertrand, 2018
The people of Esino talk about themselves and their village through an installation by Ennio Bertrand. In this original version of the work, the Turinese artist, sensitive to the critical and poetic use of digital technologies, proposes Esinese voices on the themes represented in the ethnographic section of the Museum.
The voices are entrusted to a hornbeam, a typical tree of the Esinese landscape: thanks to a transducer, the sound waves are transformed into vibrations that the tree amplifies in the space of the Museum.
The Community Tree is designed as an open project: at any time, the people of Esino can decide to entrust the installation with their testimony about all sorts of subjects.
